Today is International Women’s Day. Passeig de Gracia and Carrer de Arago are blocked off to traffic. At the junction, table tennis matches, a children’s go-kart circuit and, weird platforms giving you a framed view down Arago have been set up. The atmosphere is that of a street party come festival.

Some time around 05:00pm, thousands of people, obviously mostly women of all ages, marched along Arago demanding gender equality.
